On the 7th, I played at 106 Main with John Saylor and Will Boone for a Songwriters in the Round special edition: Comedy. It was SO good. Check those guys out.
January 21st, my mom, aunt, sister, gf and I all went up to DC for the Women's March. It was Unbelievable. There were so many people, I was wedged in sideways and couldn't see the speakers over the crowd, despite being 50 feet away. It's a day I'll remember my whole life.
We rode home overnight and the next day I played the Roe Won't Go fundraiser for Planned Parenthood.
It's funny...I remember being a kid and hearing about my parents in the 60s, wishing I had a chance to be part of something important. Now I am. But the fact that I have to protest for things that I thought were settled decades ago has me saying, "Damn, this is some buuuullllshit."
Careful what you wish for, eh?
More great shows coming up in February!
